INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW>
Have you taken down your Christmas decorations already?
Do you follow rules set by family traditions of just what other people say you should do?
Have you looked at your goals for 2009, if you put them in writing?
Were they personal, professional and both? (Did you put them in categories? Be honest if you did, don't be embarrassed.)
Have you set goals for 2010? (Same as above) How many did you carry over from 2009 and 2008?
Did you party on New Year's Eve?
Do you think life should be a party?
Surely you have something to say about at least one of these!
Yes, the Christmas decorations are down. This year we had a small three foot table top tree and the cat still managed to knock it over. I follow many family traditions. Like not washing clothes on New Years Day. Trying to make a tradition of my own. To write everyday!
I took down my Chritmas decorations yesterday to prove to myself that holiday is over. I like family traditions but we are flexible and try to accomodate the new generation's ideas.
I accoplished almost all my goals for 2009, but can't get myself to set goal for 2010. Just maintaining is good enough, I guess.
I always party on New Year's Eve. It's a great time to be with friends and get my DH to dance.
Life is far from being a party. It wouldn't hurt to add some fun time and fun books.
LOL, funny. My tree and decorations will be up for another week, or until the next big storm keeps me home. Not all of my 2009goals were, but I have a new attitude toward 2010 which I think will help with those goals. BTW they are listed on my blog for the world to see. Here's to 2010!
The decorations are down. I don't partake in NYE parties. But can say I celebrated by just being home with my hubby! My goals are written down.
We both need to start the writing everyday tradition, Scarlet.
Mona, my tree might be until Easter, unless I get an urge denude it. It requires assembly, so I usually just shove it into a corner where no one will see it.
When you have a hubby as cute as yours, you must make him dance with you.
Autumn, you seem like an organized person. I'll check out your goals before I do mine. I'll start with my 2009 list and start there.
I did lose the weight I put on my list but my body wants it back.
Cooked pies again today! Knew better than to bake on New Year's Day! I've been writing today, but not on my wip, been writing emails and loop messages, does that count? Naw, guess not. Bad Scarlet. Gonna open wip and get to work, MM didn't like my answer to her request of pages today! Diddly-Squat!
We've taken down our Christmas decorations, and cleaned the house. I am ready to face the new year, and hope to stay off the internet and increase my writing hours.
I didn't put any up! Didn't feel in the mood. It was too hot here to feel the spirit.
I did have some poinsettias though!
I haven't taken down the decorations. I did party New Years Eve. I used to think life was a party but the years have changed my mind! Happy 2010 all.
AOL is having major problems with sending mail! So, I'll comment here instead. Beth hope you feel better soon! Happy New Year Everyone! Somebody send an email to AOL and tell them they suck!
Catherine, I'm so glad you stopped by.
We can celebrate without partying.
Cleand house, too, Joanne? scary! Glad you chimed in.
Mary R and LInda. We can still party! LIfe might not be a party but we can make it one.
I actually met some of my 2009 goals so feel hopeful about setting some reasonable goals for 2010!
Good for you, Beth.
