HI, MONA! I enjoyed the photos so much--love to see other authors at big events. You're in good company there, or maybe I should say THEY'RE in good company. Your grandaughters are gorgeous little things--how lucky you are. Celia

Beth, my granddaughters had a blast. They were in the pool all morning and in the boat going to the boardwalk in the evening. We had trouble putting them to bed, the nanni and I. I took them to the lobby of the Dolphins to watch the writers in their formal attires. The girls went from one lady to another telling them they look very beautiful.

  22. Mona Risk // August 28, 2010 at 3:01 PM

Mary, don't you see how I admire you hair and skin? Wish I knew your secret or had good genes.

Mona, it was so nice to meet you in person at National! You looked so impressive sitting there signing your book at the literacy signing! What a thrill it was to see a fuzzy there signing. Next year we will have many more to sign, I hope. You granddaughters are lovely. I know you enjoy having them with you. With a nanni to take care of them, it gave you freedom to enjoy the conference. I now have two little granddaughters! The newest is two weeks old today!

Joanne, I miss you at this RWA. Maybe next year.

  35. Mary Marvella // August 29, 2010 at 12:30 AM

Mona with your smile is radiant and you are lovely! You make others feel good with your exuberance.

I appreciate your comments about my hair and skin. At my age those comments are much appreciated. I do have good genes, both Mama and Daddy had great skin until the died.

I'd be glad to share my skincare products but I don't do a lot. I don't experiment with my skin and I don't use new products because my skin is sensitive.

  36. Judith Keim // August 29, 2010 at 7:53 AM

Thanks so much, Mona, for sharing your pictures. It makes the whole time come alive. You look great and your granddaughters are adorable! So glad you had such a good time!

  39. Mona Risk // August 29, 2010 at 9:56 PM

Mary M. I wanted every one to know how great you look. Products have nothing to do with it. I used and still am so many to no avail.

  40. Mona Risk // August 29, 2010 at 9:57 PM

Judy, I was happy to share my pictures and good time with my friends who couldn't attend the RWA in Orlando.

  41. Mona Risk // August 29, 2010 at 9:59 PM

P.L. I wish you could have seen my little darlings. Imagine they played with the rotating door of the hotel and turned it around for Nora Roberts. She stopped to chat with them. I wish I had my camera.

  42. Mona Risk // August 29, 2010 at 10:00 PM

Nightingale, glad you enjoyed the pictures. I wish you were there too.
