"Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day." Remember sing-songing those words as a child?

I've thought them many times in the past 6 months, at least. I realize Georgia could be snowed under, literally, but I'm looking for ark supplies and someone to help me build one. I know, we worried when we were experiencing a drought and our lakes and ponds were low. Well, I'm glad we are no longer in that fix, but I'd love to know who is still doing a rain dance! Find her and bring her to me!

I'm was humming last "Singin' in the Rain" last week, but I got so tired of hearing it I slapped my own face.

What do you call a day after two days of sunny weather? Don't know, it's been so long since we had one that I forgot.

I once enjoyed "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" -- not anymore.

I hope our ladies who live in cold climates will forgive my whining, but my brain is mildewed! Oh,well, this liquid sunshine should bring us a lovely green spring and summer. And don't forget, humid weather is good for our skin. I'm not kidding. Join me in a verse of "Showers of Blessings". Come on, "There shall be showers of blessings, showers of blessings we need.....

We're expecting a few inches of either snow or rain in Georgia tomorrow, Friday. We might have some by the time you read this.

10 inches of snow in Dallas?

OMIGOD! I am sooooo sorry I complained!

Had to laugh at your post, Mary. You're tired of rain, I'm tired of cold, windy weather, in Florida of all places, and most of the rest of the nation is suffering from snow, ice and the yucks. Is it the old the grass is greener thing? Might just be that Spring is around the corner and we all know it...LOL

Looks like we dodged the bullet this morning. Not a flake of snow so far! I really, really, really feel for our friends in Dallas, DC, Virginia, Chicago and all the other snowed in places. Makes me feel so lucky to only be treading water for a couple weeks! Spring? Did someone mention Spring? Oh how I long for it.... Mary, stop that singing this instant! I heard that everytime someone sings that song more rain falls! Sheeeshes! Who'd have thought MM had the voice to call in this deludge!

Well, I spoke too soon! Snow, it's coming down heavy and steady. Beginning to turn a little white outside! Guess we're gonna have a white weekend after all. Thinking of warm cocoa and jammies! Will be fine as long as the power doesn't fail. We're total electric, so that wouldn't be fun.

    Ciao,
Scarlet from the snowy Georgia mid-lands

Judy, I know we're seldom satisfied with what we have, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Uh, Scarlet, I saw you spoke too soon. Enjoy the pretty snow and hope it doesn't hang around.

I never heard singing that song would bring on more rain!

Rain? How about three feet of snow with more in the forecast?

  8. Nightingale // February 12, 2010 at 3:06 PM

Mary, I understand about the rain! We've had rain, rain, rain, but at least not the snow that they have Dallas!

    Come on, Mary M,
You know you love it. Think how good all that moisture is for the skin. We're having a crappy winter in Florida too. Not as crappy as elsewhere, but cold spells, windy, and rain as well. But isn't it great for keeping inside and writing?

OMIGOSH! There is now more than an inch of the fluffy white stuff on the deck! It is still falling and it's beginning to look like winter-wonder-land outside! The roads are still clear, because the pavement was warm and the white stuff melts as soon as it hits, but when the sun goes down all that moisture will turn to ice on the roadways and then the white fluffy stuff will pile on top! As long as the power doesn't go off, we're good. Silly weather people had said it would be here before 6 am this morning, that's what made me think we'd missed it! Never believe the weather people!

I'm thinking we all need to sing 'The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow'! Who's with me?

  12. Mary Marvella // February 12, 2010 at 4:20 PM

Beth, better anywhere else but here! My years in Boston and Mexico, Missouri cured me!

  13. Mary Marvella // February 12, 2010 at 4:22 PM

Yeah, Patrice, the humidity is good for our skin, the continued moisture with no time for a dry-out allows my brain to mildew!

Joelle, you start and we'll join you. (snicker)

Linda, you're right about the excess amount of snow in Dallas, Texas, of all places!

  16. Scarlet Pumpernickel // February 12, 2010 at 8:21 PM

Joelle, what a lovely rendition! MM was lip-sinking though. Bad MM, you know you shouldn't have set Joelle up that way. Great idea to sing for sunshine. We have 5 inches here in middle earth! It is beautiful, but morning is gonna be a mess. The problem with snow in the southland is nobody, but nobody can drive in it, so everything grinds to a halt.

  17. Scarlet Pumpernickel // February 12, 2010 at 8:22 PM

By the way, MM, I'm gonna count the words posted here on the fuzzies as my word count of the day! Too many people in and out all day, this is all I've written!

  18. Mary Marvella // February 12, 2010 at 8:31 PM

Shhhhh, Joelle doesn't know my tricks yet.

I appreciate all the words you have posted here. There's still time to write some story words tonight.

  19. Josie // February 13, 2010 at 3:12 PM

Or is it "Snow, snow go away." I've seen more snow this year in SC then in the 10 previous years I've lived in the south.

Aren't we all tired of everything!
I like to stay in and write, what the hey!
No snow here, just cold rain.
