Helen Scott Taylor delivers her acceptance speech. Notice, she's wearing her tiara. She also received a wand and a poster with her book cover. Standing beside her is Chris Keesler, senior editor at Dorchester.
Helen signing her bookcover. Notice the poster with her bookcover. I am so proud of my critique partner.
Joan Leacott and Helen Scott Taylor,
Mona, how kewl is this? Great pics!
What fun this must have been.
Wish I could have been there! Mary and I went to one in Houston several years back and dressed as angels (sans wings) for one of the costume parties. Fond memories of RT.
Thank you, Mona, for posting these pictures. Wish I could have been there to be with you all and cheer Helen on. Beautiful cover for The Magic Knot.
It was fan-tas-tic. My first RT. Food was good, workshops limited but great, easy access to editors and agents, and the entertainment, oh my God, the entertainment beat everything. I was so happy to meet many authors and put faces to the names. Getting friendly with Jimmy, Chris and the other models was the icing on the cake.
Glad you had such a great time and thrilled you brought back such a great title. Now, how will we live with you? Will you wear that tiara all the time? Must we kiss your ring like we do Beth's?
Speaking of which, Mary, my ring could do with a polish. :)
This was my first RT as well and I had so much fun. Okay, I was bound to have fun given I won the award but the convention was fun anyway. Lovely pix, Mona. I've now managed to download my daughter's pictures. Or to be more accurate she has! I'll put some up.
Queen Beth, my liege. Must polish the ring as soon as I can raise from the kneeling position!
