Happy 2011! I wanted to start the year with Bang, so I grabbed Patricia McLinn. Yep, I twisted her arm, so she agreed to help us begin this year! Please welcome her and ask tons of questions. Check out her website for lists of her books.

There’s no better way to start this new year than by reading

and by trying out a fabulous new website: http://www.AWritersWork.com

BOOK-UP IN JANUARY!

To welcome in 2011 and to welcome you to our website, the authors of http://www.AWritersWork.com have put together Book-Up in January. Each day of the month we will offer a different e-book by one of our established authors for free. FREE!

First, let me tell you a bit about AWritersWork.com. All the authors of AWW are multi-published, proven authors. The website allows us to bring you our works directly as e-books. We’re offering previously published books, as well as original fiction and non-fiction. Our fiction genres include women’s fiction, contemporary and historical romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, thrillers YA and more.

A year ago at this time AWritersWork was still just a hope; I was neck deep in plans, along with the other dozen launchers. Now we’re thrilled to tell you that since our March launch, we have already grown by 50 percent, with more authors and more books coming in January and beyond.

We have a newsletter you can subscribe to on the http://www.AWritersWork.com homepage. We’re also on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/AWritersWork) and Twitter (Twitter.com/AWritersWork). Those are all great ways to keep up with our progress, to ask questions, and just to visit.

To celebrate how far we’ve come in less than a year, we are offering readers Book-Up in January! And I’m honored that my book THE GAMES -- set during

the 16 days of a Winter Olympics -- is the first e-book from our site being offered free.

From the pomp of Opening Ceremonies to the good-byes of Closing Ceremonies, join three remarkable women as their lives are forever changed during THE GAMES. At the Olympics, medals can be won, careers can be made, and hearts can be lost.

THE GAMES has earned praise from New York Times bestselling author Carla Neggers, USA Today columnist Christine Brennan and Olympic figure skater Michael Weiss among many others. To read more about THE GAMES -- and to get your free copy today only -- Jan. 1, 2011 -- go to http://bit.ly/McLinnTG

And THE GAMES is only the beginning of AWritersWork.com’s Book-Up in January!

Of course there are some nitty-gritty details to get through, so here they are:

-- Books are available in e-pub format or PDF.
-- No more than 1 copy of the day's free book to any individual/household.
-- Each day's free book is available 12:01 a.m.-11:59 p.m. EST, as time-stamped by PayPal.
-- Initially, you will be charged for your book(s), then you will receive a refund via PayPal for the purchase price, making it free.
-- Books from Jan. 1-15 will be refunded via PayPal by Jan. 18. Books from Jan. 16-31 will be refunded via PayPal by Feb. 3.

    Hi Mary,

I've had 25 print books published and 1 e-book original. Hoping for more ;-)

Thank you so much for all you did to make this possible.

It's been a great New Year's Day ... except for my Big Ten football teams. Sigh.
