Peanutty Choco Surprises

A favorite combination- chocolate and peanut butter!

Yields approximately 8 dozen cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups Peanut Butter (any brand- smooth or crunchy, and may use reduced fat, if desired.)

2 sticks butter (leave out of refrigerator at least 1-2 hours beforehand)

2 cups packed brown sugar

4 eggs

4 cups flour

2 tsp. baking powder

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 bag candy kisses, wrappers removed

Cream peanut butter, butter, and sugar. Beat in eggs. Combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Add gradually until well blended. Stir by hand.

Chill dough at least 60 minutes for easier handling.

For each cookie, roll 1 teaspoon of dough into small ball and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press in candy kiss. Bake for 10-12 minutes in 350 degree oven. After cooling, sift confectioners sugar on top, if desired.

I click over here to leave a cranky comment about your encouraging me to buy Hershey's kisses at this time of year (like I need the encouragement!) and Linda posts another cookie recipe!?! Hey, I'm trying to fit into my clothes for a xmas party and you two are NOT HELPING! Now I have to try both these recipes. Oh and Linda, how are these oatmeal cookies?
