Joanne--Christmas Pumpkin Cake

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or more, like bread, in a loaf pan

1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
1 cup pumpkin
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 /2 cup chopped nuts

beat eggs, add oil and pumpkin. Add to 3/4 of dry ingredients. The other 1/4 flour mixture---add chips and nuts and coat on top.
P.S. This is my mom's recipe, and the flour is supposed to be sifted. I have never sifted anything in my life---but sift away if you prefer. :)

Sounds yummy! When the bag says pre-sifted, I believe it and I don't re-sift. Such a temptress with your recipes.
