Psychics, Do You Believe?

I had a reading. The very first thing she said is that she saw money all around me. Where????
She did say that my second book was fantastic, Hmmm, I was gonna make a lot and sell it very soon.
Please!!!
But what was most interesting was the spirits she saw around me. She picked up on my grandmother and she told me a few things. She said my grannie was squeezing my cheeks and doing the Woo, Woo, that the last pope used to do. Well I'll tell you I got the chills. Cause she always did that.
She told me my aunt was there, the great cook. The one who taught me how to. Wow!!
That there was a baby girl there with them and she is happy. Now I never had any children so this one tripped me up. Until I got the chills when my sister yelled, "It's Lauren!!" The daughter she lost at birth. Freaky eh?
She talked about land I had near Maggie Valley in NC. The reason we have had so much trouble is that the place is haunted by angry spirits!!! That I will sell it and move somewhere else, the spirits would never allow us to be happy, just like the people that live there now. And let me tell you they all fight!!
Over nonsense!
But the thing that touched me the most was when she talked about my father. She got him right off, the force of his personality set her back. She told me he was sorry. Now, many times in my life I have tried to get my father to say that. He never would. She said he was abusive, but that he wanted me to know that was all he knew. She said he loved me and that he wished he'd acted differently. What hit me like a rock was when she said he was proud of me. Very. That would be a first if it were true. He was a rough taskmaster and his idea of respect was if you were afraid of him. But for the first time in my life. I heard those words. And I hope in my heart that they are true words. Cause then I could go on and forget the bad things. So what do you think, is she for real? What do you all think. Do you believe???
My goodness, Mary R!
I can't tell you if those folks are for real or not, but I do think they pick up on your vibes.
Even if she is a fake, she hit on things you needed to hear. Now, tell yourself they are real and act on them.
Tell yourself your dad really is proud of you and move on. Forgive wrongs that can't be rectified. You will feel better in more ways than one!
Mama Mary is proud of you for digging so deep and sharing with us.
Thanks now if someone else would just read it! LOL, love you MM!
I think that sounds like a wonderful experience, Mary! I do believe, very strongly, in fact, but I'm scared to death to tell you why. I'm not certain anybody would believe. Feel free to email me if you'd like to know, cause I don't have the courage to say it out loud. But I will say that I've had many spiritual, ghostly experiences, and I definitely believe. I think she connected with exactly who she said she connected with. There are fakes and there are phony's and she feels for real for me. I've learned over the years that loved ones are always with us, they come back to visit us often and watch over us, to love and support us, and that there are those out there who can see them. I've learned that often when they die, spirits have regrets. They see their lives in a way they didn't when they were alive.
GREAT blog, Mary!
Wow, Mary, I got chills reading this. I've never had quite a detailed psychic experience. But I do believe in psychic experiences. I went to a psychic once who took one look at me and said I'd suffered from low self-esteem, but I'd pulled myself up. That was true. Another psychic told me my son, a toddler at the time, had been my brother in another life and had come back to learn a lesson from me. I could believe that because when my son was about three years old he would talk about the time he lived with his "other daddy" and had a black dog. He's only had one daddy and we've never had a black dog. I got the chills when he'd say that.
Wow Cara and Joanne, a lot to think about...
Hi Mary,
Thanks for sharing your experience. Made me shiver.
I had one reading that made my eyes pop open. She actually talked more about my husband and said he'd be getting a gold watch, a big cheque and a long move. She was right...the job he worked on at the time gave him a payout, a layoff and a new job back home in Canada (We were in Chile at the time)So I guess I believe. I guess?? Ahh why not? Unless someone can prove the supernatural doesn't exist...not only will I believe, I'll write about it!
xo Mimi
Mary, this is amazing. It gives me chills. I believe some people do have psychic abilities. This one sure seems to. Wowwwww....
Mary, I would believe her. Some people have psychic power. Some thirty years ago an old men read my future in my palm lines. Everything he told me happened over the years.
Mary, you gave me chills with this one! I had pretty much the same type experience years ago. That time the psychic was online on the old program called GEnie. There were some excellant boards on that system. I really miss it. I think I would believe her, Mary. She touched on too many different things for her to have been reading your reaction to guide her.
Of course physics can be real. Unfortunetly, there are shysters too. Anyone know Marilyn Campbell? I think she's a true psyhic, although I don't think that's what she calls herself.
In my own life, I've had an out of body experience...when I was in the hospital in 2005. It was when I was nearing my living-will DNR limit. I didn't know that until later, but while I was unconscious, I was visited by my mother, grandmother, one aunt, and one uncle, all diseased. They didn't say anything. They just stood at the end of my bed. And then my grandmother slowly shook her head. As if she was saying, Not yet. Go back, you have more to do. The really weird thing to me was, Mother, Grandma, and my aunt wore hats, the hats they'd worn to my wedding, back in 1952, the one time I can recall seeing any of them wear hats!
I also believe the soul never dies. So why wouldn't a psyhic be able to contact a loved one? There's more to heaven and earth than we allow ourselves to consider...some are close-minded, anyway.
Good post, Mona. Very interesting.
I went to a psychic in Cassadaga, FL, home of certified mediums, when I was researching Dead Roots, my haunted hotel mystery. The things she said were very general and could have been interpreted any way I wanted. This made me very skeptical. I am open to the idea that there are true psychics, though, and would love to meet one. If you want to know what I heard in my reading, pick up a copy of Dead Roots because I just changed the dialogue to fit my heroine, hairstylist Marla Shore.
Very interesting, Mary. I've been to a few, mostly at fairs, that sort of thing. Some were believable but others weren't. One almost scared me how close she came - and she apologized because it was the end of the day and she was very tired. But she told me the money I needed would appear soon, which it did (I didn't tell her I needed money), anyway, just a lot of things that were really on point. She, I'll admit, gave me the chills.
Wow ladies, WOW! thanks for the input!!!
Mary, I'm a little late responding because I'm in Seattle visiting family but I definitely believe that some people are true psychics. I've had readings. Some were very generic, others so spot on it stunned me. Take away the positive, especially about your father. Things like this can happen!
I do believe in psychics. When I lived in Miami, my friend and I had one come to her house. She predicted me meeting someone at a re-enactment and I did
Mary,
What a fascinating subject. How did you find this woman? (I'm envisioning the yellow pages---not!)
No psychic experiences on my end, but the news about your father will hopefully give you some peace to move on.
Mary, I do believe in pyschics and pyschic phenomen. I can't say I've experienced anything personalty, about the closest thing was seeing a distant vision of Jesus and Mary when my grandmother passed and I knew she was all right. That was all I needed.
What I find interesting is past life regression. I've read "Journey of Souls" which is completely fascintating.
I'm glad you had the chance to have an experience with those who passed.
Smiles
Steph
