Guess who dropped by to warm herself in front of our fireplace? Jessica Trapp is here!
Jessica, how is 2014 treating you?
The first week of
January. What a rush. The forecast says 21 degrees on Monday and 72
degrees on Friday. Aside from the
schizophrenic weather, there’s the hectic holiday whirl and robot season has
kicked into full build. Even with all
this, my new year’s resolutions have been aggressive.
I love New Year’s
Day. Not even sure why. My husband and I rarely go out and this year
was no exception: we rang the old one
out and the new one in snuggled in our usual read-a-book-on-the-couch pose.
But I still love New
Year’s. Something about new starts. New beginnings. New projects.
Out with last year’s mistakes, and onto something better, bigger, more
exciting.
So far, the first
week has been just that. I’ve been
walking every day, I’m wildly working to finish The Heretic’s Daughter, and
once again I’ve become a robot mom. (It’s sorta like being a soccer mom except
involves building robots.)
My mottos for this
year are “Focus on what’s working” and “Work, not worry”. So far, so good.
Happy New Year to
all! Keep plugging along at your
goals.
(Pssst. A little you might not know about Jessica)
When Jessica Trapp gets elected evil queen of the galaxy she intends to
make laundry illegal. In the meantime, against a jaded modern society,
she dares to believe in commitment, true love and the idea of
two-becoming-one.
Her novels are striking for their sensuality and strong conflicts between her heroes and heroines. She believes a dynamic romance is one where two opposing characters are transformed into a passionate loving couple.
Her writings have been described as a “bold unabashed voice” and “beautifully evocative.” She has placed in a myriad of national fiction writing contests and won numerous awards including the KISS from Romantic Times BookReview magazine.

After seeing women brutally raped and sold into
