Pollen Count in the Thousands?

It's that time of the year again.

Color abounds in my neighborhood just north of Atlanta and all around Georgia.

Pollen paints our cars and porches and we complain, cough, sneeze, wipe our eyes, and even grin!

I wish I could name the blooms in the pictures, but I'm not good at that.

Hey, did you think I would wax poetic? Nah, I'll let nature do the work for me.

Enjoy from the safety of your computer. The pollen count was over 3,000 before the rain earlier last week and it's climbing back up past 1,000, even as I write!

WOW That's what I miss in Florida. The explosion of colors in the spring. You can keep the pollen. LOL

Lovely pictures MM! Spring is busting out all over! The Dogwoods are really beautiful this year. Everywhere you look they are snowy white visions. I love the randomness of their shapes. The blooms appear to almost float on the breeze.

    Mona, I'd gladly share both!

Thanks, Scarlet! My dogwoods are so ready! Azaleas are going wild, too! Thanks for the poetic language!

I am currently watching 4 dogs. Daughter is having injections for her Alpha One pains. Now I know why she wanted me to hang out. She always feel worse after them and for a day or 2. Hmmmm. I think I was snookered.

Mary, I remember very well all the pollen we had in Georgia, but even as I was sniffing and itching, the beautiful gorgeous blossoms were pleasing!

Love the photos, especially since we have snow flurries again today in western PA and nothing blooming yet. I fully remember the yellow cars in GA and VA, though.

Top photo to bottom: azalea, cherry (pretty sure), forsythia, dogwood.

L A, I'm sorry about the snow flurries! I lived in Missouri for 5 years and Boston for 1 year and I'm back in Georgia to stay. I can't take the extended cold.

Thanks for the ID on the flowers. I was too lazy to check them out while baby sitting my daughters dogs! 2 are hers, 1 is a foster dog, and the 4rth is "staying over" while her owner is in NY for a family funeral.

I hope you visit more often.

    Mary,
My neighborhood in SC looks just like yours. The trees and plants are gorgeous!
