Stores filed for Chapter 11 protection and the
company is closing a slew of stores. Here's a list

This is so sad. Many of friends are checking the list for their neighborhood stores. I know how they feel. My favorite B&N closed a few years ago. There are more in the area, but not as convenient, or as nice. JMO.
The world is definitely changing.
I feel sorry for the employees in this economy. I agree with Autumn that it is sad the big book stores are going under.
It's always sad when a good store goes under. Independent stores that close made a difference in the lives of their clients/customers and they matter.
However, this huge company provided livelihoods for many and places to gather and to buy books, etc. One of my favorite Borders stores will close soon and I'll miss it. I used it as a meeting place for some of my tutoring. The people are awesome and I hope they find jobs.
I already cried when they closed Books A Million, I spent hours in there!

I wasn't aware that Books a Million had closed their stores. We have (had?) 1 near my house.
Yes, it's really sad news about these big book stores closing their doors.
