Quote for the Day

Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask and he will tell you the truth.

Wilde couldn't have known about Internet chat rooms, but certainly in some cases, they act as a "mask" behind which people can tell the truth, or at least, reveal more of themselves than they wish to! Conversely--and ironically--they can also act as an outlet for secret desires or let a person become what he might wish to be. And isn't that, in its own way, revealing a truth, even a hidden one, about one's self?

Deep thoughts, Toni. True. I'm thinking that when Sinners Opera becomes wildly popular, I'll do a blog from Morgan's POV. Call me crazy. (tongue in cheek)

Wow, Wilde is deep.

Some brilliant actors aren't able to express themselves as themselves but reveal so much of themselves in the roles they play.

I was thinking of writers when I posted this -- our mask/our characters? But you're absolutely right, Mary.
